Embark on your journey via Bogota's efficient public transport system, starting with the TransMilenio and continuing with the TransMiCable. This route offers not only a practical lesson in local transit but also a unique aerial perspective of the city, revealing the vast expanse of the Bogota savannah and the dense urban fabric of Colombia's capital. A 35-minute cable car ride from the Portal Tunal brings you spectacular views of northern and western Bogota, setting the stage for an exploration of urban renewal and cultural flourishing.
Upon arrival, join our local guide at the cultural hub, which includes the Mirador Public Library and the Museum of the Self-Built City. Here, you'll delve into the community's self-sustaining initiatives and artistic expressions, from performing arts to vibrant street murals that decorate the neighbourhood's steep streets, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding cloud forests and eastern mountains.
As part of this tour, we will visit a local silk-screening workshop and get hands-on work. There, you will be able to create your own t-shirt or postcard inspired by this urban canvas.
