What you will be doing
The journey begins with a scenic two to three-hour ride to Jardín, offering plenty of time to marvel at the breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival, you'll stroll through the Village Square, where you'll admire a unique church and whitewashed houses adorned with beautifully painted doors and balconies. Take a moment to savour delicious Colombian pastries and sip a cup of coffee in the main square, enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and the spectacular hand-painted chairs that reflect the village's rich culture.
As you wander down the narrow streets, you'll reach a gondola used for sightseeing and transportation. This ride takes you up the mountain next to Jardín, providing a panoramic view of the village and the surrounding lush green environment. After descending, you'll delight in a traditional Colombian dish at a local restaurant before continuing to the highlight of the tour -the coffee farm.
At the coffee farm, you'll receive a warm welcome from the cafetero and explore the vast coffee plant-covered area. The cafetero will guide you through the different steps of growing, harvesting, and processing coffee beans. At the farmhouse, you'll learn about various methods to prepare the perfect cup of coffee. Here, you can ask questions and deepen your understanding of what makes Colombian coffee so extraordinary while tasting and savouring its rich flavour.
Finally, you'll return to Medellin, with the driver ensuring your safe arrival back at your hotel. This day trip to gondola promises an unforgettable journey into the heart of Colombia's coffee culture and the natural beauty of Antioquia.
