Overview
Kalamata is surrounded by a vast olive grove with trees outnumbering the residents. The olive grove is so close and yet so far from the city surrounded by traffic-free cycling routes and beautiful nature. This guided e-bike tour is a journey through one of the world's best olive-producing regions and a sensational adventure exploring a unique lush landscape. Moreover, the electric bikes will allow you to pedal effortlessly so that you can fully enjoy the beauty of the area.
What you will be doing
Your ride starts at our office in the city center of Kalamata where you meet your bike guide. Your e-bikes are here ready to adjust them to your size. You get a safety briefing and a short instructions course on the route and you are ready to set off.
You enter the heart of the Kalamata olive grove with naturally carved trunks of centennial trees. The route runs along cycle paths, dirt roads, and secondary paved roads.
The bike ride returns to the picturesque Othonos city square, where you will have the chance to indulge in our delicious picnic lunch. Starting with the basics of extra virgin olive oil tasting you will have the opportunity to learn more about this local produce and love it while pairing it with freshly baked bread, olives, local cheese and fresh vegetables.
To complete a super fun day the tour will end with a glass of wine or a soft drink for the younger riders.
