This 3-day coffee-focused journey takes you through the picturesque landscapes and rich coffee culture of northern Peru. Starting in San Ignacio, you’ll explore the region’s coffee heritage, from sustainable farming to the entire production process. Visit local farms, learn about traditional and modern coffee processing, and indulge in authentic coffee tastings. The tour also includes a visit to Jaén, where you’ll enjoy a curated coffee experience before concluding your adventure in Lima. This trip is perfect for coffee enthusiasts seeking to dive deep into Peru's vibrant coffee culture.

What you will be doing

Day 1 - Lima - Jaén - San Ignacio

Arrive in Jaén Airport and embark on a scenic 2-hour drive to San Ignacio. This area was inhabited by tribes such as the Huaros, Chirinos, Huambisas, Aguarunas, and Pakamuros, all influenced by the Mochica and Chimú cultures. Upon arrival in San Ignacio, enjoy a warm welcome coffee and learn about the local art of coffee cultivation at a nearby farm, where you will also spend the night.

Day 2 - San Ignacio

Start your day with a traditional local breakfast before touring sustainable agriculture plots and a coffee plantation. Continue to a second farm to discover the traditional methods of coffee processing, including roasting and grinding, while also learning about modern coffee production technologies. Enjoy a coffee tasting and a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, visit a museum and a coffee cooperative in San Ignacio to learn about the industrial coffee process. Finish the day with another coffee tasting at Casa Faical before returning to the farm for the evening.

Day 3 - San Ignacio - Jaén - Lima

After breakfast, transfer back to Jaén, where you will visit Picorana Cafe, famous for its diverse coffee selection and personalised brewing methods. Enjoy a tailored coffee experience before your return trip to Lima.
