What you will be doing
We will pick you up at 6:30 a.m. from your hotel and head towards the coastal city of Bertioga, which is located 1 hour and 30 minutes from São Paulo.
We will embark on one of the incredible and captivating trails available on that particular day in the Atlantic Forest region, a dense and meticulously preserved forest. As São Paulo is 760 meters above sea level, to reach Bertioga, the highways traverse an astonishing mountain range that extends along the south and southeast coast of Brazil. You will have breathtaking views of the valleys as we drive through the set of hills.
Near the city centre, this trail passes through the historic Banana Bridge and the dense Atlantic Forest. It leads to transmission tower 47, with a waterfall of the same name. Enjoy diverse ecosystems, stunning waterfalls, and natural pools. Perfect for rappelling, trekking, birdwatching, photography, and river bathing.
It is renowned for its natural beauty and takes you to a secluded and preserved beach. Starting from Guaratuba Beach, you will enjoy a pleasant walk through sections of preserved Atlantic Forest, streams, and enchanting landscapes. With approximately 4 kilometres in length, this moderate trail offers an immersive experience. Upon reaching Guaratuba Beach, you can relax and enjoy the white sands and crystal-clear waters surrounded by native vegetation
If you are looking for a challenge, the Elephant Trail is an excellent option. Located in the Serra do Mar State Park, this trail ranges from moderate to difficult and spans approximately 4 kilometres. During the hike, you will be immersed in lush vegetation, crossing rivers and waterfalls. At the end of the trail, you will be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of Bertioga's coastline and the Atlantic Forest. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to relax and connect with nature at the secluded Camburizinho Beach.
After completing the trail, we will drive back to São Paulo, which will take approximately 2 hours. During the journey, we can chat about various topics, including the local biome, history, or culture of the area.
