Community support

Birds are among the most sensitive indicators of ecosystem health, and their migratory nature means conservation efforts need to span countries and continents.
Birding tourism has become one of the most powerful tools for community-led conservation. In many rural areas, a rare endemic species draws visitors from around the world, giving local communities a direct economic incentive to protect the forests and wetlands that the species depend on. Just as with all wildlife viewing experiences, there is etiquette for bird watching. Responsible bird watching should at least include: never getting too close, keeping voices down, never using drones to chase birds, and not shining light directly on them at night.
Enter the San Felipe Birding Nature Reserve Rainforest through its trails and dive into a world of songbirds and exotic flowers. As you enjoy the scents and textures, you will recharge with its magnificence. Our reserve has all the infrastructure for visitors, like hides for bird watching and photography, feeders, large paths and gardens, a reception area, a food area, a souvenir shop, rest spaces and sanitary services.
